Sairam friends,
I have lived based on Sai dreams for years in my life. Some dreams has got nothing to do with me. It will be about others. Some dreams are about me but I will try to convey different forms of dream experiences. Note that each dream will be different but now, I am trying to categorize forms of dreams.
1.Dream form 1 – Saibaba and Goddess in Dream
A dream where I actually see form of Shirdi Saibaba or any Gods or Goddess. I rarely see Sai’s actual form in dream. Recently, after painting work in our home, I saw a dream as if I am opening a beautiful Sai temple. A week later, our painter Meiyyapan did a colorful painting to the Sai temple my appa built for me outside home. He used Red, Yellow and Blue colors..he he….and make the Temple have all dark colors so that even when I did not wash temple with water, it won’t look dirty.
So above dream in which I actually see Saibaba is very rare. Sometimes, I see other Gods and Goddess I love in dream. I love Goddess Mahalakshmi. I also see other ancient saints in dream.
2.Dream form 2 – Dream which I could remember but has no meaning
These are the dreams, I often get. I honestly do not understand what Saibaba wants to convey me through such dreams. I used to tell Baba “Please tell me something for the growth in my work or about my life. You are wasting my time with such dreams”. Well, may be, these dreams too has sub-conscious meaning in them and I know Sai shows them for a reason. So, I can’t argue with him.
3.Dream form 3 – Dreams in which I see complete strangers in dream.
Years back, one of my friend ( A family friend) got married and I had a dream that his wife is a blessing to him. One of my cousin got married and I had a dream that he is blessed. I can’t even say these dreams to them as they are not Sai devotees.
I had dreams about people I come across in Saibaba temple here in Coimbatore but I don’t know their names. I used to have dream of colleagues in office with whom I have never spoken once. I suffered a lot due to few dreams asking for clarity from Saibaba but never understand why I had such experiences.
Years back, I saw dream of a girl in office shedding tears reading my article in StarSai. Later, I came to know she has actually come across StarSai. I was surprised.
One dream I could remember very clearly is this. It should be more than 15 years back. A line man from Electricity dept is getting shock and falling down from the pillar opposite to our home and Saibaba is saving him. That evening, a Line man was climbing up on the pole. I was nervous but looked at him. Usually, the switch off in transformer and do these work. He reached on top and said, I forgot to switch off in the right transformer and about to touch the line when he remembered.
So, why did I had a dream as if he’s someone is falling down the pole. This is how Saibaba works. They show something in dream instead of it happening in reality.
4.Dream form 4 – Dream of my family members
I see my Father in dream even after he passed away. I see as if all of us are going to some temples I love. I see my Sister , Brother in law and niece in dream. I should have got hundreds of dreams about them and I know Saibaba has blessed them. I often see my Mother in dream. I can write a book on how Saibaba used dreams to bless us or communicate something to us.
Just that, I feel pained why Saibaba did not tell me that my Father won’t be with me for long. I would have taken him to temples or did something to make him feel good. I often ask Saibaba to take me to my Appa.
5.Dream form 5 – Dreams about my life
This is where I failed a lot. I honestly don’t know why Saibaba blesses me with strange dreams. Some of them were philosophical and some for my own well being.
Saibaba has blessed me with dream when I got my Job years back. He has also blessed me with dream when I started by business. My hard work was there in my business but Sai shows a way.
Sai has blessed me to avoid me causing some road accident. Once Saibaba told me not to focus on music or songs when I drive. These days, I don’t feel like listening to any music but sometimes, I do.
Saibaba has asked me not to look at my phone while I drive. I did and had a small accident back in 2023. Thankfully, it was minor. I was casually telling this to the guy in the flower shop in Saibaba Temple. He used to drop me near home whenever I give my car to service. He told me, I have often seen you using phone while driving. I told him “I don’t think so”.
Saibaba can only guide us. It is our responsibility to follow his words.
I will never forget a dream I had before 12 years. It was as if Saibaba showed my hair burning as if offering to Lord Shiva. Next day, I read about a Nayanmar who lit his hair as a offering to Lord Shiva. People used to give me lots of tips for hair growth even now. I just listen to them but they don’t know I am not concerned about it because Sai asked me to accept it almost 12 years back. Maybe, Sai’s way of telling me not to focus on how I look.
I sweat a lot like they have installed a fountain on my head. My Appa used to scold me to visit a doctor for the same. My Sister used to send expensive perfume from the US. I can’t use them as It hurts my eyes and causes head ache. I apply perfume on legs if at all I wish to use. So, basically, I just bath twice and that’s all I could do about it. All this made me realize Saibaba wants me to accept my short-comings and live with content.
Every night, I tell my Amma that I do not like these days, I like to see Shirdi and temples before 300 years. But I add “But there was no A.C before 300 years”. he he
I had over 100 dreams about my neighborhood because of some issues we faced before few years. Once Saibaba showed Bhadrakali in dream and said she’s taking care of us.
I just wanted to say dreams are only guidance. We have to work for it. If something is not good in your neighborhood, you have to act for it. I don’t fear to question what is not right. Be it in my neighborhood or where ever I go.
This is why I yell at people parking like idiots in Saibaba temple. The other day, there was no parking space in temple. The security asked me to park infront of other car. I told him, I myself get upset if others park like that and hence I will wait sometime to see if I get space. The funny part is it’s easy to write something here but following it in real is hard as people will say it’s okay to do it.
6.Dream form 6 – Dreams about Saibaba temples or other temples
I would have got hundreds of dreams in which Sai shows me other Gods and Goddess in dream. If I see a Goddess in dream, I either remember her all day or try to visit her temple. I used to see dreams of Goddess Durga, Mahalakshmi, Saraswathi and other forms of Mariamman and Bhadrakali temples. Sometimes, I see dreams of Lord Shiva or Lord Venkateswara.
On few nights, I sleep imagining that I am sleeping in Saibaba temple or any temple I love. I used to have dream just before waking up that I am running from that temple towards our home. It’s like Saibaba accepted me to sleep in temple all night and in the morning, I am running towards my home.
7.Dream form 7 – Dreams about my work
When I was in full time job, I often used to see Saibaba helping me in my work. But there were some issues I felt that he should have either given me clarity or avoided me from doing. Later, when I am in the business, I used to have dreams too. Well, Once again, dreams are just dreams. We have to work for our dreams to come true.

8.Dream form 8 – Dream your work
This is the dream I want everyone to have. I am not sure if you had experienced it. It will be about something you are planning in your career, business or work. Example, My sister is a research scientist in the U.S. She has done some findings and needed some tech solution. I was suggesting her some ideas. Later, I planned something. All night, I had a dream about my plan and how I would build it. I was sleeping but my mind was building something. I am not sure if it is a dream or vision or what to name it.
Spiritual dreams are blessings but what you do to earn your living matters. You have to dream your work.
Saibaba’s path is Karma Marga. Path of work.
I have tried to express few forms of dreams I had experienced. A lot of other forms I would have missed to write. You should not live like me. Do not be obsessed with Sai dreams. It might consume your time. To me, it consumed all my life. I lived like this and my parents accepted it or they paid a price for it. Your parents should not suffer due to your devotion on Saibaba.
Other day, one of this girl asked if she can sweep the Dwarakamai. I did not encourage her for I believe one should have a normal life. Serving Saibaba when you are too young may not work for everyone. Sometimes, It takes you towards him and not the life you dream of. This is why, I ask people to do little work here and there but not to be dedicated to Sai seva when they are too young. I don’t want your life to be like mine.
In 2015, one of this girl in the U.S asked me to if there’s any ashram in Shirdi and she feels Sai is calling her. I told her to lead a normal life, focus on her studies and continue her studies to be a Doctor. Today, She’s a Physician. I may not be in touch with her now, but I changed her life. Do not be drifted by false imagination that you wanted to serve Saibaba. Just be a good Son and Daughter and do your responsibilities, get married, have children. This is normal life.
Hurting Sai devotees hurts Saibaba too
Sometimes, Saibaba shows dreams about how he protects his own temple. Once I saw a dream as if there’s a fire burning in Dwarakamai. So, I often watch if Dhuni is safe.
I do not like guys who serve in temple but build their own rules, do politics and treat devotees harsh. Yesterday, None of these people who serve in Saibaba temple came to temple. Everyone went to a far away temple festival and came to Saibaba temple after it was closed.
Deep in me, I was asking them, If you cannot serve Saibaba everyday, why have so many rules? You are not a saint. You can serve in temple only when you find time. For example, I am able to visit Saibaba temple as my Mother is able to manage herself alone in our home when I am away. So, I should not speak harshly to others when I serve.
Saibaba’s dreams are beautiful and divine. Some people tell me, you are imagining and these are not from Saibaba. That’s why you should speak to strangers or colleagues about Sai. I choose whom I should speak to Saibaba. Unless I know someone is truly devoted to Saibaba, I won’t utter a word to them about my experiences.
Anyway,
I just felt like writing this today as I wanted to document how Saibaba uses dreams to guide us. Not all dreams will come true but I will continue to live based on Sai dreams for lifetime.
Coming back to your studies and work, Saibaba will surely help in his own way. You should not ask him to come in dream as dreams are just one way of blessing you. Maybe, he choose better ways to bless you. Just focus on your work for it defines you.
