Sairam friends.
This evening, I took my Amma and neighbor aunty to take sarees and shirt for me. I usually go to this mall in Coimbatore with my Appa and Amma. But after Appa passed away, I take my Amma and neighbor aunty. Later, we went to Saibaba temple and I requested them to wait until I sweep the temple. After I did my chanting when they priest offered prasad in temple, we had food in a restaurant and reached home.
The street dog, Brownie was standing in middle of the road. It had saliva coming out of its mouth. The past 3 days, I had been requesting some Veterinary doctor in Coimbatore to visit home and give some injection but none agreed. Finally, a Doctor agreed to come home but the dog ran away. I was frustrated as all the day, I had to spend finding a way to give some solution for this dog.
The other street dog whom I name Pasi for she is always hungry, was left inside home, inside our compound when we left to shopping. When we returned home, it has bitten umbrella my father has kept for over a decade. I showed pasi why she did it but she never bothered, had biscuts and ran way.
Brownie might die or he might survive. I hope tomorrow, it stays in one place so that I can call the doctor.
Over the years, I have realized that it’s important to lead a life where if we see a human or animal in front of our eyes in pain, we should do something to help them. Most of the time, we may not have a solution for them but we should try once or atleast say some good words to them.
People write to me their problems for the past 21 years. This is not new to me. I have seen their life changes by Sai grace. But not everyone got a solution. I still remember a Doctor in Mauritius who was kind, recovered from cancer but later after 2-3 years passed away. Life and death is not in our hands. Similarly, success and failure is not in our hands too.
We can only try our best to focus on action. Any action that eventually does good to ourselves or others. The fruit of the action is not in our hands.
Anyway, why am I diverting from the goal of why I started to write this blog.
In the Saibaba temple I visit everyday, years back, a devotee offered bread. He is honestly stupid. The Dog starred at him. So, he took the bread from the cement platform to keep it close to the dog. The dog bite his palm and blood started oozing out. The dog assumed he is taking away his bread and bite him. I requested a friend to take him to doctor and the best part is his wife, went inside the temple for darshan. Probably, she knew her husband will be fine.
I had to share this incident to clarify there’s a reason why temples do not encourage dogs. In most cases, dogs are innocent but it does what it likes to do.
Fast forward to 2026, I keep seeing a little white dog outside the entrance of Saibaba temple. Today, while entering the temple, I showed my Amma that this is “Supramani” he he…I named him that way. I want to name him “Aura” but Supramani suits him well too. He always tries to sneak in the temples gate but is driven out. I go out to offer him some biscuits which I bring for him in my bag but not sure if he really likes it.
Yesterday, I was wondering how come, a Saibaba temple does not allow a Dog inside temple. Saibaba allowed dogs to come inside or near Dwarakamai and take chappati or anything offered to him. We could see a Dog near Lord Dattatreya.
Well, the answer is in safety of devotee. To ensure humans have good darshan and have good experience in Saibaba temple without being harmed by Dogs, humans decided to keep dogs outside temple.
Similarly, a Saibaba temple will keep away anything that harms humans.
The world will keep away anything that harms humans.
A Shirdi Saibaba temple is just a place of worship. It does not always reflect Saibaba’s character or nature. While going outside temple in car, I told my Amma and aunty showing another man near his SUV that, a few month back I yelled at him.
My Amma told me not to get angry on anyone and it’s my bad nature.
I told her, this man always parks his car infront of others car, and simply show-off. On a Thursday, he was giving lecture to other devotees as if he is good. I was managing traffic and shouted at him saying he don’t deserve to hurt other devotees as he himself secures his parking space, unethically assuming himself as VIP. At-least a bunch of people in temple were happy I shouted at this man. The issue is, others can’t shout. They won’t shout. I will.
You should be against injustice in any form.
Be it a local Shirdi Saibaba temple.
In your organization.
Or Politics.
Open your mouth and speak-up against people who are showing-off as if they are good.
Let me end this here.
I feel bad for little Browni.
If it comes near home tomorrow, I will call the Doctor. If it dies, I will regret for lifetime that I should have forcefully taken it to do vaccine when it ran away from me.
Do good to people. If you find any injustice happening, you don’t have to show your anger like me but question it.
Question anything that’s wrong.
I am going to sleep now.
And Yes. Dogs are not allowed in Shirdi Saibaba temples to save humans. Isn’t this irony.

No AI was used to write this. My content will have mistakes. I am full of mistakes. Irony is that I pay 46 dollars for 2 Chatgpt accounts every month. I use it for my business. It takes a minute to paste this article and ask it to write it better. But being professional is not my goal. Spreading love is my goal. It comes only when I myself type and write. 20 years later, when I read what I wrote, I should know it came from my heart.
