Sairam friends,
I love Dhuni, the holy fire of Saibaba and have always been near Dhuni in the Dwarakamai near the temple here in Coimbatore. Few years back, I used to enjoy sitting inside the tank which is under the Dhuni where we collect the Udi. I even used to yell Saibaba’s holy name and chant sitting inside the dhuni tank.
Money from heap of Udi
I have a beautiful memory of this incident. I came from office to Saibaba temple got down the Udi tank, wiped out some Udi and got up. That night, I realized, I had some money in the pocket which would have mixed with the heap of Udi. I forgot it. After a week, when we were filtering Udi, I suddenly found the same Rs.130 inside the Udi. Since I felt the money is sacred, I bought a Vishnu Puaranam book from the shop in temple.
3-4 Years back, they re-constructed it in such a way that, I could not sit inside the tank and wipe the ashes and collect Udi. I do it only when none of my friends have time for it.
Today, this guy who was collecting Udi really suffered a lot. I get angry on some of the other guys as they always let him do the work all alone. I have some health issues these days, and could only stand out and watch him or sweep. I am researching an exhaust fan which I can get for him to keep on top of tank while he gets inside.
You can meditate if you want. Do not get influenced by fake Gurus
One of the biggest scam in spirituality is organizations run by fake Gurus conducting workshops in the name of meditation. You really don’t have to learn to meditate. I have seen several people in ancient temple and even in Sai temples. They sit closing their eyes and meditate. This also is meditation.
Keep it simple stupid.
Why this topic?
Outside Saibaba temple, they have stuck a poster of a girl meditating and stating that there’s a workshop on meditation or whatever nonsense for 7 days and it says its free. Why are they sticking these posters in Saibaba temple. Because they know this is a Guru to whom crowd comes in thousands without any effort. All these fake gurus are jealous of Shirdi Saibaba. I know this personally but they won’t say that out.
After the temple is closed, I was yelling at my friends saying “I hate such posters in Saibaba temple.” Saibaba is an antaryami, working hard to bring good people to his fold but these fake gurus are pasting such posters and looting Sai children to them. That’s when I told them, Only because we are not running a meditation session, others are taking over Sai children. I told them, I will also do a project online to help Sai devotees have peace of mind. They said, You can’t do it. ha ha.
One of this devotee was staring at the girl in the poster. I told him, I will photograph him and show it to his daughter. I hate such organizations looting Sai devotees.
That’s when I realized this.
Every Shirdi Saibaba temple should have spread Sai’s teachings specifically on few topics. Sai devotees should know Saibaba does not promote any specific sadhana. If someone likes to meditate, they can meditate. If someone likes to sing his aarti, they can. If someone likes to simply look at Saibaba, they can. This is the freedom you get when you believe in ancient saints. Sai baba temples should educate devotees but temples are focused only on daily rituals.
Last week, I also felt that I wanted to teach people to chant holy name of Goddess and Sai. Having said that, I do not have time for it. Also, I do not believe in a structural process for chanting. I can inspire people to chant but they should do it in their own style they way their mind loves to do chanting. Anyway, I am busy with my work but this thought keeps coming to my mind.
These organizations are targeting teens and young Indians?
Why fake guru needs you at younger age. Simple. They can sow the seed of fake guru and his ideology early in your age. They will gather crowd and eventually, you will have friends who follow same fake guru. So, you became slave of the organization for life time. I have a friend who’s uncle and aunty did not have children because this fake guru advised them not to have children and he will give a spiritual reason for this advise.
My Parents often travel to US to take care of Sister’s daughter when she was a child. Once, my Sister’s friend and her husband came to their home with a dog. My Father asked him if he has a child. He has replied. No I have a Dog. My Father advised him saying Dog can be a pet but can’t be a child of his own. Today, this American couples have 2 beautiful children.
You don’t need a fake guru to learn nonsense that you don’t need child. Then, why did you get married idiot? If that decision is your own, I appreciate it. I had a client working in Sweden who said she’s 40 and hence don’t feel like having a child. So, the decision is hers not influenced by a fake guru.
If you are upset, depressed or facing struggles in life
Fake gurus target you when you are going through any difficulties in your life. It’s easy for them. Later, they influence you. Well, you need yourself and not even Shirdi Saibaba. You should have clarity in your mind. Everyone has problems. Attending fake Guru’s workshop won’t solve your problems because you have to work for your solution.
The reason I say you don’t need Sai also is because no one should think I am promoting Saibaba. Example – My Sister just does some prayers in her home. Whenever she has any issues, she asks me to pray for her. But we can’t call her as a Sai devotee. I won’t even ask her to come to Saibaba temple when she’s in India. I have a policy of not forcing anyone to worship Saibaba unless they want to. My Sister just knows her brother is praying Saibaba for her and she appreciates it.
Once again, if you are going through difficulties, better be more careful as these situations will make you lean on fake gurus.
Just love your Amma and Appa.
You can argue with your parents. You could hate them in such issues. You might have difference of opinion with your Mom and Dad. But see them as your Guru and listen to them atleast occasionally.
When you are young, just sit and speak to your parents. That in itself is meditation.
You don’t have to waste your money or time to be influenced by meditation workshop conducted by fake gurus to loot your life. Money will come and go but they will loot your entire thought process.
Live Smart.
Don’t be idiots.
Love your Amma and Appa,
Venkat
