Strange behavior of some Sai devotees

Sairam friends,

Last evening, I felt so sleepy after work. I was also not feeling well. So instead of going to Saibaba temple inside the city, I decided to go to Saibaba temple near my previous office in Saravanampatti.

I felt blissful as I was the only person sitting in Dwarakamai. It was dark and I also tried to do meditation. I was speaking to Sai in my mind about my life.

I felt feverish and hence I simply sat in a corner. I saw a guy along with his parents coming into Dwarakamai.

The women asked me if I belong to that place. I told her that I come from some other place. I added, I usually go to Saibaba temple in Saibaba colony. Today, I was sick and hence came here.

She said “In Nagasai mandir, there’s no power. The temple lost its power”.

I smiled and told her “Don’t say that way. It’s not right”

She said “Its so crowded and hence it lost its power”

I felt really strange by such misconceptions.

I told her “You should not go to Nagasai mandir on Thursday if you don’t like crowd but don’t say it lost its power etc”.

Then, she proudly said “We are trustee member in that temple. We used to remain in the temple until 11 during Thursdays”

I just said “OK” and they left.

I completely lost the respect on this family.

Firstly, She says a Saibaba temple losses its power as its crowded. LOL. Well. I know when its crowded, no one will give importance to you. That doesn’t mean a temple lost its power.

All temples are equally powerful. Just that, some temples have more comfort than others. Example: There’s good parking space in Nagasai mandir. There’s a big hall where you can relax. It’s within the city and hence you can go there even after shopping or even after taking parents to Doctor.

So every temple has its own advantages.

Secondly, why does this lady say that she’s trustee member.

What the heck does she mean by that? I think she’s gone mad assuming being a trustee in a temple is a honor. Well. It has its own responsibilities too.

I know this women is not a trustee for sure. So why does she lie?

Why do people lie and have such silly pride in themselves? Even Saibaba was leading a simple life. Why are Sai devotees taking pride in saying “I have gone to some temple for 30 years or 40 years?”

How does it make you great when you call yourself as someone with authority?

Such strange behavior of Sai devotees confuses me because they don’t even understand Saibaba’s way of life and what he expects from us.

I continued to sit looking at Saibaba silently in Dwarakamai.

Later, the priest gave me a garland and asked me to put it in my Car.

I walked out to leave the temple and sat in my car. I was bored and hence called my Sai friend Preeti from Dehradun. She has been a good friend of mine for past few years. So I simply talk to her. I also told her what happened in the temple.

I reached home, had dosa and laid down.

I usually ask my parents to say stories of their childhood. LOL.

Seems, my Mom’s grandmother used to take them to Thiruchendur Murugan temple every year. They used to stay in a room near temple. My Mom said she will always play near the sea collecting sea shells.

My Father wasn’t able to get a job in 1960s. Hence, he worked in a Dam construction project in Karnataka. Seems, he used to live inside forest. The nearest village was 5 Kms away.

They light fire with wooden logs to keep away from wild animals. He has seen Elephants crossing river as group.

I keep listening to these stories from my Amma and Appa and slept off.

I like listening to such antique stories..he he..I wish to live in past. I always believe world was more human in the past.

I am getting late for work now.
