Something in life that Money can’t buy you

Sairam friends,

Yesterday, I kept making fun and laughing all the day at work. Some people were asked to give testimony about how some Corporate Insurance policy benefited them which made me get irritated. In western countries, people doesn’t let others speak about their health issues publicly but in India, we don’t have any compliance for privacy. So all the day, I was making fun with my friends speaking like how they give testimony in Tele Shopping Network. I tied a cloth in my palm and said, am also going to give testimony.

Finally, I got tensed, walked out of the crowd and was talking to the security. He was an old man and asked me whats going on inside and I asked him where he’s from. He showed a small hill and said his house is near the hill. I liked talking to him as these are ordinary people who has stories to tell. I get nervous at times and the best thing to do is move out of the place.

Adding to this, I also have a story to tell.

Something in life that Money can’t buy you

There was this wonderful priest in Shirdi Saibaba temple in my hometown. He had come from Andhra to do pooja all the way to our place to earn his living. He was young and his parents/sister were living in his native village in Andhra. He was really dedicated to Sai seva and kind to all the devotees who come to temple. I am not revealing his name.

In 2013 January, he met with an accident and passed away. It was really painful incident for all who comes regularly to Saibaba temple. His father was called up telling his son is alive and just met with small accident. It took several hours for this poor Father to reach Coimbatore. Devotees who went to Railway station told me how his Father spoke with hope saying “I am his Father. Where is he?”

They took him to Hospital and told him the truth that his Son is no more.

Somehow, Its over. This guy fell down from Bike as another priest was driving usually have habit of rash driving and I also receive mails from Sai devotees in such situations.

So I created – Sai Safe Driving

It happened more than a year back. Before a Week, I went to Saibaba temple where my friends were preparing prasad to be distributed to devotees. A devotee who arranged to get insurance money for the priest told us that his Father rejected what ever money he might get. In fact many devotees from temple also collected money to give his Father last year which also he rejected.

Even the Police has called up and told the priest’s father, that he just have to do some formalities to receive Insurance claim. It seems the priest’s Father has said “My Son himself is not there, I have enough to manage our family. So I don’t need this money”.

He is not well off but probably the pain that his Son is no more makes him hate money so much.

I felt little painful when I heared this. Insurance is good and everyone needs it and I myself have one for me. You can give some financial security to your family and yourself when you face any health issues but beyond that there are few things we can’t buy with Money.

You can’t give a Son to a Father.

You can’t match the love of a Son with money.

My humble request to Sai devotees is to make sure you eat health food, Go on time to Doctor, Take care of your parents health, Do not strain yourself and finally drive Safe.

Your dear one’s needs you safe, healthy and happy.

To this date, I wonder who actually comes to Sai Safe Driving because its a small effort. I just know I did little I can.

Am getting late now friends,

Take Care,

Venkat
