Sairam friends,
Couple of years back, my niece wrote this article – Velvet – Two Generations of Women’s Triumph.
I told Katya, how we as children would capture the velvet spider inside a match box and play around and she wrote this article for her high school journal.
All of us are scared of my Sister in our family because she had some health issues during her childhood and hence we would do whatever she asked for. It was her love for science which made her what she is today. My Mother’s contribution and help of society as a whole, the environment and Gods grace was on the side of my Sister. But I am worried if every girl in India has such an environment today.
Pasi, my favorite street dog
Almost 4 month back, the street dog which I named Pasi for she’s always hungry was surrounded by several dogs and they started barking. This was the only female dog in the road and hence I decided to find a vet and do surgery so that she don’t have to suffer in the streets trying to protect her babies. I could not accept a female dog suffering and let her come inside our home and rest.
Before we move to the incident which happened in Jamui, I will narrate a vision I had several years back.
Note – Dreams happens when you sleep. Vision are some spiritual experiences which happens and disappears immediately and it happens when you are awake.

(I created above image with AI. Though my room doesn’t look like this, I feel good to visualize what I saw in the vision.)
A little girl wearing white dress
This happened several years ago. A month before I started StarSai, I still remember a vivid vision. I returned from Saibaba temple at around 8.30 at night. From the outside, I could see a little girl wearing a white tops and frock getting into my room. I removed my foot ware and walked inside. I very well knew a kid wearing white dress entered my room. So, as soon as I entered the living room, I got into my room and saw if any guests had come. My room was empty.
My Father was watching TV.
That night, while I was doing some work alone in my room, suddenly remembered the vision I had. I wondered how come, I saw a small kid of around 7 to 8 years of age walked into my room but no one was there. Since the little girl was also wearing a white dress, I got scared late in the night remembering the vision I had few hours back.
Next day, I told my Amma that I had a feeling that I saw a girl wearing white tops and frock running happily into my room but no one was there. I remembered it again at night and getting scared as white dress is linked to ghost. he he
My Amma said, sometimes, Goddess appears as a small kid in dream to assure her presence in our home and life.
I used to offer lemon garland to Goddess in Mari Amman temple. So, I asked my Amma to make a lemon garland and offered it to the goddess.
(Note – Do not get obsessed with such visions or dreams. These are part of spiritual journey. I express only a fraction of experience I have in StarSai because the more we express, the more we are creating unnecessary interest in such experiences. Pure devotion is all that matters in life)
Why I have to convey this vision of little girl?
Little girls are considered as Goddess and sometimes, Goddess also likes to appear in the form of little girls of age between 7 to 11.
What happened in Jamui, Bihar?
A girl and a boy in 10th grade boy were harassed when they were returning from coaching class.
Confrontation: On September 19, 2026, the two teenage classmates were traveling on a scooter on the Jamui-Lakhisarai road after attending their coaching classes. They stopped near the Madwa Pahad area to take photographs.
Assault: A group of 6 to 7 men intercepted the teenagers. The assailants physically attacked the boy, while grabbing, manhandling, and groping the minor girl as she cried and begged the attackers to let them go.
Video: The attackers filmed the entire 20-minute assault on camera and later uploaded it online. The video went viral on September 21, 2026, sparking widespread public outrage and forcing the police to intervene.
Basically, this is the state of India.
The girl and the boy was not even on their bike during late night. Seems it was just past 7 PM. A 10th grade girl was harassed with her friend just because they stopped to take photographs. All in the name of moral policing.
In Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, such crimes, rape and caste abuse has increased in the past few years. Even in metro cities, both men and women feel insecure as we never know whom we will come across in our day to day life.
Religion has never given right to do moral policing to any individual
Keep away from crowded spaces in any temple
I usually spend time in Dwarakamai in Saibaba temple. I speak to people who come to Dwarakamai or I know them by face if they come regularly.
A few years back, it was a crowded Thursday. A guy misbehaved with a girl and ran away in crowd. The girls parents were deeply upset and told me they feel bad. The next week, again the same guy came. This time, we caught him and don’t want to say what we did later. We just made sure he won’t come to temple again.
I realized if there’s specific space in temple where crowd is too high, then, such problems happen. So, on Thursdays, I keep watching around.
Is Shirdi Safe for Women?
I know some women who live in Shirdi for weeks and months but they are bit elderly.
Some girls write to me asking if there’s any ashram in Shirdi. I always discourage them to focus on their career, life and stay where they are. Shirdi is a place to visit and not to settle down. Especially, when you are young, don’t confuse that any place is safe for you.
Live with your parents or live where you have responsibilities of education and work. All other places are not for you.
Few years back, One of my Sai friend in Malaysia came to Shirdi. I had introduced her to Gopi sir who lives in Shirdi. He’s no more now. She came alone to Shirdi and and some guy kept watching her everyday. While she was standing in que towards Samadhi Mandir, he misbehaved with her. She started crying as she was shocked it’s happening in Shirdi.
Gopi sir called me and asked me to take this girl to Coimbatore as he was not able to keep her safe in Shirdi. I was embarrassed. This happens when you guide someone to Shirdi as if you know everything. Those days my Father was there and my parents told her its okay to come to our home for 10 days. My Mom scolded me saying if I guide some girl to visit Shirdi alone and if something happens to her, we can’t answer her parents.
I had a Sai friend Dimple in Mumbai. Dimple and her husband took care of her for a day and from Mumbai she took flight to Coimbatore. She stayed in our home for 10 days, we took her to temples near by and then, she got her ticket from Coimbatore and reached her home safe.
My parents gave me a big lecture not to do this again and told me not to encourage girls to travel alone to Shirdi.
From then on, whenever someone writes me from abroad, I ask them to come with their family. You can certainly travel alone but should not stay in one place more than 3 days. Else, it’s easy for anyone to track you are alone. If you can manage to stay strong, you can travel alone but India is not safe both for men and women when they travel alone.
Coming back to the street dog Pasi about which I wrote in the intro, I was not able to bear several dogs around this female dog. Think about the mindset of parents who’s daughter was chased by 7 men? What will happen to her studies? Will she be able to live in the same state of mind. Will her parents allow her to move to a new city to study or work?
They will eventually desire to get her married as soon as she completes her graduation.
Most girls in India are not working
A few month back, I spoke to a lady from a tier two town. She was managing on her own after her husband passed away. I asked her if her Daughter will support her. She said, as soon as her daughter completed graduation, she got her married. I asked her why? She replied, “I feel unsafe looking at stuff on social media”.
I told her, but your daughter could have had a good career and lived a better life. Whatever you see on social media won’t happen to your daughter. But she continued to say, she feels better after her daughter got married.
When a women works, she’s contributing to the economy of the state and country
Believe me, most girls in India are not working after they got married. One reason could be lack of opportunities but other one is because they got married even before they had a foundation for a good career. This directly creates an impact in lifestyle and independence of a women.
How can I say girls were more ambitious few years back?
I can give you an example. In several families, mother will be in a government sector or holding a good position in private sector. But her daughter won’t be working after getting married.
A lady spoke to me in deep pain. She was working as a principle in a school. Seems, her son-in-law don’t want his wife to work. Well, such men should give assurance that they will live forever and they are eternal. This lady spoke to me when her Son-in-law passed away and now, her daughter has to build her career from scratch.
So, even a working mother was convinced to let her daughter remain at home and now, fate had other plans.
This is why I always encourage women to hold on to their career even if they got married to someone wealthy.
I know a friend who’s completed her Ph.d in Delhi. She had some issues in getting the right job. She has been so kind to me and used to speak to me when my Father passed away. I will never forget few people who listened to me during that time. Recently, she told me, her father wants her to get married. Parents wait for a while but do not give time for their daughter to build a career.
These days, both for men and women, it’s hard to find a job and settle down in their career.
Meanwhile if we are creating a society where a 10th grade girl is chased while returning from coaching class, this does not match what we preach in our religion. I believe India has lost all it’s culture and neither traditional nor western. We have ruined life of several men and women as a society because of fake cultural norms.
Touching a women even during emergency is perceived wrongly
The other day, someone told me, you are good. I have never seen you speaking to women. I was shocked and told him, I speak to all young, middle and very old women. I have listened to 1000 stories. Just that, most of them do not live in Coimbatore and they speak on phone. I also told him, I better don’t be good if not speaking to women makes me good. he he.
This is the reason India has problems. We believe speaking to women makes someone bad. The 7 men who chased a girl in Jamui seems to have proudly made video as according to them, she’s wrong to have come along with the boy at night in a bike?
The other day, a lady fainted in temple. I sprinkled water and massaged her back until she woke up. The guy in flower shop also came to help. After a while he said “Anna, you were massaging the lady’s back and 2 women were watching.”
I told him, they should have done that but they were just watching. So, I had to do. Even touching a women during emergency perceived wrongly.
I have this experience because my parents always faint. So, I massage their back and head until they gain consciousness. So, I do it to everyone who faints.
Coming back to my vision I had years back, I still believe goddess likes to be in the form of little girl because she likes to protect them.
I am proud to live in Tamil Nadu as we have never encouraged religion based politics. Compared to other states, Tamil Nadu is very safe for women. Just that, in some areas, people have made it unsafe. In the place I live, guys were coming to gather and drink in open space. My father wanted me to tolerate it for years.
Once, Saibaba showed Goddess Bhadrakali in dream and said she’s securing our family.
After my Father passed away, in the last 5 years, I have ensured not a single night, even one guy can come there to drink. No one in the neighborhood came forward to support me. I only have Saibaba with me and I handle them all alone but I know what I am doing is for everyone’s peace of mind.
We should not be scared to question others who are doing wrong.
We should not ignore something just because it has happened in Bihar. Religion based politics and moral policing has spread like virus in this country.
We should support girls who are perusing their studies or career
6 month back, my sister’s college mate came home to visit us. My sister was learning some stuff after her college. So, he remembered how he used to walk with my Sister to our home, leave her home and then, walk back to the main road.
I realized without good people around, my sister would have not been where she is today.
Similarly, as a society, we should do little bit to make this world a better place for both men and women.
Do little you could beyond the usual pooja you do for Goddess.
Most girls do not study beyond graduation
The other day a neighbor who lived near our home came with her Daughter. She was not able to find a job after graduation and 2 years has gone by. Her mother told me that she wants to get her daughter married. I told her, to see if she could do a post graduation as in some field, masters might help in the long-term.
I told her 22 is too early to get married and 2 years will run fast. So, I convinced her mother to make use of the time.
This is all it takes to change others life. Tell them what they should do. You can always get married in life.
OK Guys, Last night, I slept at 3 AM as I was worried about something.
This morning, I had a very divine dream of Lord Maha Vishnu. I also saw my Father cutting vegetables as he used to help my mother after his retirement. I believe my Father is still helping us survive.

Edit – I went to Saibaba temple this evening and doing some work in Dwarakamai. I am not in good mood today. What I wrote above is not an article. Its collection of various experiences and thought process I had over several years. So, It makes me remember my past.
I went to shop mile away from Saibaba temple to buy some stuff and reached home. I always smile to the girls and elderly ladies working in a department store I visit every Thursday night. I feel its important to do it. One of this girl was very kind in helping me buy stuff.
I don’t feel good. I am feeling depressed thinking about children of this country not being able to go to a coaching class and come back home safe. We need to change this.
