My desire to inspire and motivate students to do continue education came to life by grace of Shirdi Saibaba and Lord Lakshmi Hayagriva.
The past one week I was thinking if i can do something for the Nation? Is it enough writing articles about Shirdi Saibaba all life? If it is really enough Sai would have been satisfied with me and would have blessed me with a happy life. May be I am supposed to do more to the world and myself.
I did some research on how someone as ordinary as me could serve the Nation. I was really concerned reading News about the Chinese Army sheltering inside Indian Territory in Ladakh. I thought of writing a Article about such issues but I need to research more about it.
I read about Meera Sanyal – a professional banker since 1984, Meera is the Chairperson and Country Executive for Royal Bank of Scotland Group (RBS Group) in India.
Through the activities of the RBS Foundation, which Meera chairs, several projects that aim both to alleviate poverty and conserve biodiversity (especially in endangered tiger habitats), as well as promote watersheds and sequester carbon through working with tribals and marginal farmers in degraded land areas have been undertaken.
I mailed her about my love for Sai and got below mail..
“The blessings of baba guide us all and it his grace that shows us the right path. May he guide you through the difficulties you are facing and make you stronger to serve our nation !”
I was happy to see her reply.
“No one can teach me what to do for India and I myself have to do something I believe in”
Living in Coimbatore with a Job to earn my living and parents to take care of, I can’t do much more than writing few articles. Few month back I was emotionally pained when my Mom met with an accident because of a driver who was drunk. I wanted to do something through Sai devotion to make people quit bad habits and wrote below article – To me its a project.
I wasn’t successful in what I wanted to achieve accept for the fact that few Sai devotees might have been benefited. I had some resource websites for students who do IAS but that too was a failure as I don’t have interest in such topics. As my parents always complain I don’t have interest on anything other than Sai.
Though my parents also worship Saibaba and my dad even stitch dress for my Saibaba, when he gets upset with me he says “Veedu fulla Saibaba photo dhaan iruku”. he he…( Where ever we see, there’s saibaba photo in house). I tell him, even if i take all these pictures away, Sai still lives in my heart. What can I do?
Shirdi Saibaba blesses me with dream of Lakshmi Hayagriva:
Last night I read the holy book about Saint Sreepada Sreevallabha and slept praying Saibaba to show me a way.
I had a dream as below…
I see myself in a Ooty ( wonder why) with my parents and my Aunt. We all are going into a temple, have darshan and come back to aunt’s home. My aunt asks me
“Do you want to go Up or down”
She means to ask do you want to stay back in Ooty or go back down the Hill? I understood that Sai is asking me if i have to grow up in life or go down?
Then I see myself standing in a Que to get signature from a officer. When I go near him I realized, that most of the spaces to be filled with details and signature was left blank. When I was about to sign, I realize my mistake and say him “Forgive me” . There’s a window in that Office…
I see through window a picture of Lord Lakshmi Hayagriva . I am very sure that it was a very beautiful vivid vision of Lakshmi Hayagriva.
About Lakshmi Hayagriva:
Story of Hayagriva – ( Hayagreeva)
Legend has it that during the creation, the demons Madhu-Kaitabha stole the Vedas from Brahma, and Vishnu then took the Hayagriva form to recover them. The two bodies of Madhu and Kaitabha disintegrated into twelve pieces.Hayagriva is considered an avatar of Vishnu. He is worshiped as the God of knowledge and wisdom, with a human body and a horse’s head, brilliant white in color, with white garments and seated on a white lotus. Symbolically, the story represents the triumph of pure knowledge, guided by the hand of God, over the demonic forces of passion and darkness.
Hayagriva living as horse in the small Sai picture i used to offer flower everyday:
The surprising thing about the dream is that, I have a very tiny steel photo painting of Shirdi Saibaba with a horse behind him. A week back, the magnet behind it fell off and I was searching where my father kept it. Today, I found the picture and felt how divine plays are strange. Hayagriva has accepted my flower offering every day living as a horse behind Saibaba.
Sai used to love his horse Shyam Karna very much during his life time. Few days back I saw a horse in dream and this vision of Hayagriva makes me feel blissful.
My mother used to tell me that we must worship Hayagriva as he is the one who can reveal the secret knowledge which are hidden and also bless us with good education and wisdom for spiritual seekers.
Inspired to create a resource website for encouraging Indian’s to continue their education:
I woke up after the dream and thought of doing something useful. I don’t want to stop simply writing I got dream of Hayagriva. For many years I used to make resource website on education and leave it as it is. I really don’t have time and interest to write about any other topic other than Sai . I can write a lot about Saibaba but honestly its hard for me to write on other topics easily.. I am born to work for Sai.
Mean while, my parents were worried and asked me if i like any girl. I said “Ya I like this girl.Showed her a picture and said She won’t like me”. He he…just to convince them and started working on my new site.
I am nick named “Dott” and called “Dottu”
One of my friend Prem in Saibaba temple calls me “Dottu” since i keep making Dot Com’s …he he…most dot com’s will loose my interest after a while and starsai alone will live forever. I have this habit, If i have little money even 10 dollars I will be tempted to do make a new site.
My friend Kanna says “Yenda..Pathu dollar irundha, yedhaadhu domain register panni site launch paneeruvaya…Summave iruka maatiya”
( Even if you have 10 $, You are tempted to make a new site and launch it like crazy …he he )
Raising cost of Education in India and importance of continuing education:
This time, I believe its Sai’s guidance to do something useful. To me education is the first thing we must focus on if we really want to serve our Nation.
I am really concerned about raising cost of education in India. Its going to create pressure in students if they are not able to perform well and also when they are trying to get the right job. Some of them will loose interest in education itself by the time they complete their graduation.
These days every one know a Masters is essential and continue their education upto masters but only a fraction of students in India continue with Doctoral programs , Ph.D education etc. So I wanted to do a resource website that makes our students get interested in continuing education.
I wish to do other projects in future. This time, Little I can do is make a resource website for Phd programs in India and abroad. Few Shirdi Saibaba devotees who are doing research used to mail me with their problems the past few years and ask me to pray for them.
Later this evening, I told my Amma that I saw Lakshmi Hayagreeva in dream and and wish to motivate people aspiring to do Ph.D. She told me “Adhu seri…Neeyum padikanum”. I blinked and said “Panalaam..”
Mom asked told me its not enough if you inspire others. You also can study something you like for lifetime…he he..
I went to Nagasai Mandhir this evening and read holy book of saint Shri padha sitting near the tulasi plant in Dwarakamai. I came back home and was talking to Sai in my heart.
I don’t know why I am doing all this Baba….I may not have so much time if i get married. So before that you are making me do something which i never know is useful or not. I wish to marry someone who loves to write or probably who reads a lot so that it helps me continue what I do for Sai and India for rest of my life.
May be I am not gifted…
May be Sai knows I am day dreaming…
May be there’s really someone who loves doing what I do
Sai, am in tears..
Always in the holy feet of Shirdi Saibaba
