Saibaba doesn’t expect anyone to honor him and that’s natural

Sairam friends,

People change. People’s attitude and perception change. Hence, someone who honors or respects you today may not do it forever. At any point of time even your own dear one’s may get annoyed with you. They might hurt you directly or speak ill of you to others. What ever it is, do not get dishearten by such behavior.

This morning, I had a dream which was like Sai is telling me “Look. These people don’t trust you and hence they are annoyed with you.”. Saibaba wants to say they basically don’t respect me. So what can I do for that. One of the reason Sai tells me what ever is going on in others mind is that he knows I am too sensitive. So he prepares me to accept life as it comes. I believe, the very reason I get hurt is because I expect to be respected. This is not possible. Atleast not when I serve Sai. A Sai servant must accept happily when he/she is hurt or misunderstood. I might sound like I write as I wish but every word in every article comes from Sai and inspired by the experience he gives me. So I cannot prove anyone what Sai makes me go through. This is a relationship between a sweet saint and an ordinary devotee.

Many of us face problem especially since we are pleased when people befriend us, honor us and respect us. Never be happy for the recognition you get. Wordily recognition is always temporary no matter how hard you try to keep up your reputation. Just be strong internally no matter what happens.

This is what Saibaba says

“Even if the whole world is against you, trust me.”

Saibaba himself doesn’t expect anyone to honor him. He naturally accepts when a devotee scolds or argues with him. Saints are very down to earth. When you sing in praise of them, they call that as abuse.

Once a devotee came to Baba.

Baba tells him “You must have come here last night”

“People were abusing me and I was in tears”

The devotee understood what Baba meant to say

He said “They were singing in praise of you”

Baba agreed and said “You can understand because you have a Guru”

The devotee tells Baba about his own personal Guru.

Anyway, What you understood by this.

When You happily praise Baba when he does leela, Sai simply remains calm and accepts it. Saibaba doesn’t feel honored. Why should he? Saibaba knows only few devotees can accept his inability to help when things don’t happen.

Today, I can ask Sai why my life is like this and abuse him and tomorrow I might praise him.

To Sai, both doesn’t matter.

He sits silently in yourself. He is your antaryami.

He accepts you what ever way you treat him.

Sai, Its OK if people misunderstand me. I got used to it. Just before I woke up, I thought why I am not behaving matured like others? Then I answered myself. If I act too matured, I can’t be happy.

Let me live as I am.

As a little servant of Shirdi Saibaba.

I have been watching lots of Corporate films and listening to audio books these days. I am really admire people who can write amazing script and speak with golden voice. To me, editing is like Music. When I watch some videos, I feel like floating with it. I am really worried that I am not gifted or probably I did not work hard.

  • Beautiful! I understand what you are saying. I don’t pretend to be a perfect devotee. I do my best, I Thank Sai Baba for his uplifting love and honor him because it is the right thing to do. Humans will waver, as you said, but Sai Baba does not.
