Sai blessed me with a dream of Marundeeswarar Temple in Chennai

Sairam friends,

Last evening, I went to Saibaba temple and offered garland to all the Baba statues on the terrace.

I remembered Shirdi Saibaba to bless me with a good dream and slept.

This morning, I had a dream in which I saw as if I am standing in-front of Marundeeswarar temple in Thiruvanmiyur,Chennai. But the road was like as if its a village and I see many trees. Probably, Saibaba wants to show me how it was before hundreds of years. Then, I hear someone telling me “Your Amma and Appa are fine right? Then, what more you want?”

After that I walk in a narrow street where someone says “The snake is dead” and so many different incidents in the dream. There are only few dreams which are vivid and this one really was.

Now a days, I often get dreams of the temples I visited several years back. My uncle lived in a flat near this beautiful and holy Marundeeswarar Temple in Thiruvanmiyur,Chennai. So I used to go to this temple regularly. My best moments in this temple were in 2007 when I went there to take care of my uncle who was sick for 3 days. Every morning, I used to come around the holy tree in this temple where it is said Lord Shiva and Parvathi gave darshan to the saint Agastya.  I love to light lamps in this temple to several Gods and Shiv Ling. I especially admire the Lord Surya statue in this temple and light lamps to him.

There are silent places in this temple if you want to meditate remembering Lord Shiva and the Mother Goddess.

I have also done abishekam (Holybath) for Saint Valmiki who wrote holy epic Ramayana in a temple situated in between the highway.

The Goddess here, Tiripurasundara is truly divine. The mother has made me feel the divine bliss during several occasions when I went there to have darshan.

From Wikipedia

Marundeeswarar is known so because he imparted sage Agastya on curative properties of various herbs and plants. Since then the Marundeeswarar temple has been a place of worship for people with diseases and various problems with their health. It is said that even The Sage Valmiki, who wrote The Ramayana, came here to The Marundeeswarar temple to worship Shiva. Sage Valmiki was said to be blessed here. After this incident, this place was to be known as Thiruvalmikiyur, the name gradually changed to Thiruvanmiyur.

If you have time, please visit this temple and light lamps. You will feel blessed.

Venkat
