Look good.Feel good. Remember that You can’t defy nature

Sairam friends,

The past 3 days was my off and I completed doing parayan of Sri Sai Satcharitra. I was trying few stuff and failed every time I took some efforts. I don’t know what Saibaba has in mind.

Anyway, The week before I did a funny experiment called

“Experiment – Look as bad as you can.”

I tried to live for a week in worse possible way I could look and wanted to pick few tips from this experience.

If you present yourself in worst possible way,

1. Your friends continue to be your friends. So don’t worry about it.

2. After few days, they ask why you are like this but they continue to be with you..Ha ha.

3. The people who know you but not your friends might think how stupid you look but they can’t say anything to you.

4. Strangers may not that easily befriend you.

5. Your Parents asks you to look better as they can’t tolerate you.

Think about it.

The reason I did this experiment is because I was wondering why Saints like Sai never gave importance to their looks. Sai wears torn clothes and doesn’t mind looking bad. Obviously, for a true devotee Sai can never look bad since Sai’s face has all the divine glory. Think about other saints who purposely grow long hair, beard and they try to present very strangely.

This is because Saints including Saibaba respects beauty and wants us to enjoy beauty as its part of nature but they don’t differentiate or discriminate anyone based on looks. They wanted to be one among the common people and hence tried to take the other end of beauty scale.

Now. Where do you apply my experiment in your day to day life?

Everyone likes it when you look good but I feel now a days, youngster’s over do it to the extent that they don’t realize its spoiling their natural beauty.

I have this friend in Delhi to whom I told last week that she looks beautiful naturally and does not honestly need to go to beauty parlour at all. She was upset about it and I tried to explain her its not just her. I have seen many girls who really don’t need this extra stuff which hinders their natural looks. She told me “My friends do it and I like it too.”

So I can’t stop anyone from going to parlour and to an extent, it helps people look good. All I can say is “Please do not over do it because we can’t defy nature.”

Next day, I apologized for asking her not to go parlour and told her, She can go and live happy. Obviously, there are Sai devotees running beauty salons. So let them continue to do their business peacefully.

What made me have this attitude is the fact that some girls don’t know how bad they look when they do facial or the pathetic – hair straightening. I don’t know if they even realize its going to spoil their beauty in the long run. Let us accept what we have and what we are.

If you have dark circles and trying to treat it, I appreciate it but also try to have nutritious food,  a peaceful mind and good sleep.

If you are putting on weight and don’t like it, wake up early and do anything you think can accommodate your lifestyle to keep yourself fit.

On the other hand, do not try for things which is too unnatural and worry about it.

Millions of Men and Women worry about hair loss. To an extent, you can do things to fix it. When it doesn’t, accept it. Is it not natural?

There’s no treatment on Earth to stop you from getting old. If there is, its going to lead to other complications.

I worry about people who trying to look good or actually spoiling their natural beauty.

You are born beautiful what ever way you look. You might not fit in to the definition of “beauty” but you are born to live in peace with the way you look.

That’s what I want.

Be happy and accept what you are – peacefully.
