Sairam friends,

Firstly, here’s the link to Sai videos I have been making – Coffee with Venkat

Its 1.30 at night. I had been to Shirdi Saibaba temple in my hometown, lit 3 lamps and was roaming around in parking place. I felt like calling one of my Sai friend Kavitha and rang her. With in few seconds she said as many of you tell me now a days “Tamila pesalaame – You could speak in Tamil” and I laughed because its really funny when someone pin points this to me. Not that I don’t wanna talk but I am really practicing to improve my accent and pronunciation. For 11 years, I tortured my Sai Children by writing with several typo and grammar mistakes especially since I don’t have time for proof reading.

Some of you guys offered to do it but I wanted to keep it raw. As long as the meaning is conveyed, I am satisfied. Just that when a westerner reads my writings regularly, they might find it really hard to digest. he he..

Now, that I started making videos, my pronunciation and accent has to be improved a lot. I am trying a lot by watching videos online even at work because it helps me at work too but I hardly have chance to practice. Since I am recording Sai script in hurry, I also don’t have patience to work on my accent. It must come naturally. The other day, I made this video on being good to all your relationships in life – Saibaba’s love is like a Jasmine

Only after I recorded, edited and uploaded it, I realized my the way I pronounced the word “Bear” is really funny…The script goes like this ‘Can Sai bear with you” and the way I say it sounds like I mean these Giant Panda bears below!

He he..

I was planning to record a Sai script today but really could not do it as I was speaking to my Sister’s daughter Katya over skype. Seems she’s grown up a lot because for the first time she asked “How much Rupees you earn and how much is it in Dollars? And how much will you be earning if you come to the U.S?

I was surprised by her questions. I asked her to play Piano for us and she did. Then, she showed our soft toy Pandu…We played Peek ka boo over skype. She keeps calling me there or always dreams of coming to India. She told “Momma says we will go this December and I hope she doesn’t lie this time”.

When ever Katya speaks, I ask her about the books she’s currently reading. I do this to encourage her to learn a lot. She showed me this book

Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed the World Kindle Edition
by Rachel Ignotofsky

I requested her to read few names from the list of Women featured in the book which she did. She choose to read about Ada Lovelace who’s regarded as the first Computer programmer.

Augusta Ada King-Noel, Countess of Lovelace (née Byron; 10 December 1815 – 27 November 1852) was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage’s early mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. Her notes on the engine include what is recognised as the first algorithm intended to be carried out by a machine. As a result, she is often regarded as the first computer programmer.

Saibaba says “Do what you are passionate about”

Saibaba kept telling me to do something that I am passionate about and I did try a lot. Eventually, I get into other work and never focus on what I dream to do. This evening, while I was in Saibaba temple, I decided to create a site where I do book reviews, write about Online courses and interview few Entrepreneurs. I like encouraging people to learn. This has always been a part of myself.

Especially, when ever I see any girl or guy just out of graduation and starting their career or 2-3 years into their job, I tell them about learning something to enhance their skills. I wonder why on earth I do it? I send mails to people whom I am a total stranger to follow some good resource websites regularly so that they can learn a lot. I did this even to the girl I met in the printing house the other day as she she was looking for  a job..he he..

On several occasions, I see myself naturally inclined to tell people that they must do something productive when ever they find time.

You can learn a new language or You could learn new Art. The least you can do is read some good books. I get really irritated when ever I see someone playing games on Mobile. I wonder if they are really living in an imaginary world or what? There’s so much to do in this “One Dam Life” dear. So much. Please get real.

There’s more to life than going to restaurant, watching movies, having fun with friends and what ever it could be. Be happy and relax but basically have a plan for yourself.

When I was in Chennai, every single day, I used to go to German Cultural center. Other students come there to learn German, I sit and have tea chatting with people there and also watch German movies. My Sister once told me “Din’t you once thought of learning German?”

It was really like slapping me on face. May be, I am born to waste my time doing nothing and regret it now.

15 years to go..

I wonder why this number 15 but now a days, that’s what comes to my mind. I have just 15 more years to say what I lived for. I told Saibaba “What I do in the next 15 years is my life. Am I going to do something really worthy?”

I am not sure if I can continuously focus on this small project or how good the content is going to be but the name suggests my goal

Venkat wants you to learn and make use of your time.

Welcome to – LearnVenkat.com

Since Katya showed her book to me, I realized its the right time to launch the site on Monday – September 26th 2016.

It has some book reviews from some of the world’s top photographers. In the days to come, I shall list few online courses too. Lets see how it grows!

Sai blessings,

Venkat

Edit: I slept after at 3 A.M after launching my new site. I could not sleep until the next 2 hours. Hey…I thought I forgot the dream but now I could remember. I see myself in a holy Venkateswara temple. I am getting into a very holy cave like structure and waiting for darshan. I see a golden arch of the temple.
