Today August 3rd 2010 being the tamil month Aadi 18th is auspicious ..I was sleeping untill 9 and amma woke me up saying “Venkatrama…saami kumbudu” ..Wake up and worship God.

I took bath, did abishekam for Lord Ganesha, Sai , Dattatreya, Lord shiva with lingam, Saraswati , Mahalakshmi and all the Sai statues in our house…and also Lord Surya.

Then i recited Aadithya Hrudayam offering flowers one by one to all Gods.

Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam Paarayan :

I must call it Parayan , A Holy reading of scriptures because i found this Mahalakshmi Sahasranaamam truly beautiful friends. 10 days back when i had only 100 Rs in Nagasai mandhir, i went to the shop selling sloka and sai pictures. I found this wonderful book

“Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam ” with translation of every sacred Name in tamil language.

I bought it home. Ever since i wanted to recite holy Mahalakshmi’s 1008 names.

Today being auspicious i decided to offer Kumkum archana to the bronze Mahalakshmi statue in our house and recite the Mahalakshmi sahasranamam.

Usually its always good to chant holy mantra early in morning. I am friends, i shall try to recite early in the days to come. Today i started only at 11 …

Amma made sweet Pongal ….by the time i came to 200 holy names, pongal offering was done and i showed ghee lamp to all gods like Aarti.

Then i continued parayan untill 3 …Amma was always asking me to have food…my neck was paining …back ache little bit…you see i have been doing pooja for years but some how today it was truly not so easy friends. I forced myself to sit n surely chant the holy names of Goddess Mahalakshmi offering kumkum over the Lakshmi murti beautifully shining with all her grace.

I could not go more friends as neck ache and body ache was more as we sit in one place..so i came up to 600th holy name along with meaning n had lunch.

Then i slept also for ahour. I know one has to do contineously friends but truly since i also read along with meaning and for first time am reading this sahasranama, i have to go word by word slow reading.

Then i woke up at 4.30 in evening and started the Mahalakshmi sahasranamam happily..finally 6.30 appa did his usual pooja…i thought its going to end at 1000 holy names but it continued..i thought 1008 names…it went upto 1036 ..Then i also read bhala sruthi..benefits of reading holy Lakshmi Sahasranamam friends.

Truly it was wonderful to know this

Mahalakshmi Sahasranaamam is said by Sanathkumar to whom Mahalakshmi assured

“Those who knowingly or unknowingly read this sacred Lakshmi Sahasranamam, they will surely be blessed. Then imagine the power of blessings if one reads it with all his heart and soul and with total surrender in holy feets of goddess Mahalakshmi.”

My friend vengadesh came home as i was nearing end …i asked him to sit near me…friends around 7 when i finished the Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam , i was really satisfied.

This is first time in my life that i tried to do something that seemed to exhaust me totally…It was as if i am digging dhuni – sacred fire of sai in nagasai mandhir when i used to get exhausted….The physical strain was too much friends…i was really feeling happy for this .

My amma came to my room and said Mahalakshmi come to our house..i really felt like sheding tears friends as it was really physically straining to sit and read the holy name along with meaning ..i felt how the priests who do Lakcharchana are doing it for hours..really we must appreciate them and offer them good dakshina to satisfy them.

Then i fell on floor in the room like Saastaanga Namaskaaram …truely a day filled with grace. I prayed for my parents and myself to get job and a good wife who will understand my love for sai and share the work i do for sai children , my sisters family, baby Katya and all my sai friends in nagasai mandhir and StarSai family

I went to nagasai mandhir , offered coconut in holy dhuni, cleaned dhuni by night and came home

Even now i kept Mahalakshmi as it as with Kumkum alankaaram friends..

Few things i remember from Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam,

1.When we offer something in fire , like saibabas dhuni and also Homan, we have to offer chanting “Swaahaa” …Swaaha is one of the holy name of Mahalakshmi and she is wife of Fire God .Agni deva. The offering reaches all deva and guru and Gods

2. Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam and Lalitha Sahasranamam has few holy names in common..example..

Surya mandala Madhyastha, Chandra mandala Madhyastha…both are present in center of Surya mandala and chandra mandala.

3. Many times Mahalakshmi is portrayed as Saraswati as one who is white in color and one who has Veena and called as “Sri Brahma Vidhya’

I humbly request children of God, to learn and recite Mahalakshmi Sahasranamam.

Thinking that objects of enjoyment such as a garland of flowers, sandal and women as giving (permanent) happiness you amuse yourself in them. How Shirdi Sai baba inspires Devotion on Lord Rama :

All sai devotees who has read sai satcharitra of hamadpant know this leela of saibaba but since today is rama navami i would like to present it again.

It could be sometime after 1903…A group of bhajan singers from Madras heared that there lives in Shirdi village a generous saint Sai baba who gives lots of money to people who come to have his darshan . They decided to go shirdi and sing bhajans in praise of all Gods and Sai Baba.

The group consisted of 4 members from same family. Three of them including the husband were greedy and their intention was only to gain money from Sai baba. The wife along was very pure and devoted.

The lady percieved Sai baba as Lord Rama himself while singing bhajans :

Always when we do seva to sainath our inner most intention will pop up every now and then. When all others were singing with feeling that sai baba is going to give them lots of money, The wife was perciving shirdi saibaba as Lord Rama himself and singing with complete faith , respect and devotion.

Sai inpires the lady ( wife of bhajan singer ) with his beautiful leela :

Sai baba always encouraged when someone worships their favourite God / Goddess. To inspire the lady , one day during the Noon aarti Sai did this beautiful leela. While the lady and all devotees in dwarakamai was singing the wife alone suddenly saw saibaba as Lord Ram.

For all others in the group , it was sainath sitting there but for the lady it appeared as if Lord Rama , the consort of Sita devi was sitting . The lady was moved by this Ram darshan of Saibaba and tears started flowing from her eyes. People in dwarakamai were surprised to see the state of lady.

While see continued to see Ram darshan in the place of saibaba, she started clapping her hands in devotion.

Lady described Ram darshan to her husband :

Later the lady told her husband with joy that she saw Lord Rama who had complextion of Blue lotus, adorned with a crown, wearing earrings , garland of wild flowers and wearing yellow dress beautifully. Rama was also holding the conch, discus and mace on his chest was the mark of Vishnu and he was adorned by the Koustubh garland.

The lady said we all thought saibaba is a poor fakir taking alms from door to door but today i saw him as the divine rama.

The husband replied her harshly that when all of them saw sainath how can she alone see rama…he was still in selfish state.

Later the lady realized this..

She used to get darshan of lord rama when she is in calm state singing his bhajans. Then she became greedy . When mind is filled with desire of money then god wont give darshan in vision. Sai knowing the womens pure heart gave Ram darshan and made her realize saints and gods are pleased by pure devotion without expectations.

Friends, In sai satcharitra chapter 29 , the complete story can be read about how saibaba made a change in the husbands greedy attitude also.

Since today is march 24th 2010, I wished to write this beautiful leela of Saibaba ..

Sai always encouraged when you are devoted to Gods you love.

Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is the greatest Life giving and healing mantra from Rig veda in Hinduism. You can recite Maha Mrityunjaya mantra while you do meditation regularly and also when someone dear to you has health issues and needs prayers.

Chanting this mantra in counts of 108 – One maha for several times example 1008 times which is 10 mala and 10,008 times which is 100 mala and also one lakh and 8 times which is 1000 Mala with faith and devotion gains immense blessings of Lord shiva.

Maha Mrityunjaya mantra on Sani pradosham

Today 13th march 2010 is both shiva rathri in many shiva temples and also Sani pradosham ( pradosham – auspicious day for lord shiva every 13 days

Sani pradosham – The pradosham which comes on saturday .Devotion to lord shiva by doing pooja, offering bhel leaves ( vilva ) and doing abishekam , reciting mantra and offering any good naivaidya brings you great blessing on such auspicous pradosham day.

2 weeks back when my father was sick many of my sai friends in starsai family were reciting this sacred Maha mrityunjaya mantra . I really feel greatful to have sai friends who prayed devotedly for my parents good health and long life.

On this auspicious day, i  request all sai children to recite Mahamrityunjaya mantra regularly especially when someone dear to you has health issues and struggling to survive. Surely Lord shiva will shower his grace on you and your family.

Chanting early morning : Brahma muhurtam – 3 AM TO 6 AM is very auspicious.

All mantras can be chanted any time all your life with love and devotion on God. The same applies to Maha mrityunjaya mantra too.

Shirdi Saibaba’s guidance to Megha for Lord Shiva devotion:

Megha is one of my favourite sai devotee during shirdi saibaba’s life time. Megha was a shiva bhakta before he came to shirdi and became a staunch sai devotee. Once megha wished to do abishekam ( holy bath ) to sai and asked his permission. Saibaba was first unwilling but due to inspire devotion of Megha , sai allowed him to do abishekam with bhel leaves and holy godavari water . Thus megha walked over 8 kos , got holy godavari water and did holy bath for sainath.

Friends, If you have a shiva lingam and also shirdi saibaba statue which can be done abishekam  ( material of statue must be stone or marble or proper metal apt for holy bath ) please do holy bath to shiva ling , apply kumkum , chandan , offer little food and recite maha mrityunjaya mantra along with other usual prayers

A dream in which  Hanuman shaped rock widens his lips to smile :

Tosay 16 :12:2009 is Hanuman Jayanthi. Few days back Lord Hanuman came in my dream and said few beautiful words to inspire faith. The dream was so vivid as if a rock which was shaped as Hanumanjis face suddenly starts to widen his lips and smiles . Then a saint appears infront of the Hanuman rock whom i realize to be one with our Sai. Then he guides me in my business and personal life.

From the day i was blessed with beautiful divine dream ,  i was expecting Hanuman jayanthi of this year. 2 weeks back when i had been to Sakhi dham temple, the Hanuman Mandhir priest said “Your friends birthday is coming, if you dont bring 2 KG of sweets as offering …then i will………”

I laughed to him and said if i get a good news i shall surely bring sweets for Hanuman jayanthi. I was so worried that day so i had to say this.

Now lets listen to beautiful Hanuman chalisa. I love this singer a lot.

My Sai friend Vidhyas brother Kapil made this beautiful painting in his p.c today and i was so exited that i wanted to show this to all sai children . You know there are professional artists but at times sai devotees who love saibaba deeply try to do his painting which comes truly realistic.

While doing this painting Kapils sister has said if Saibaba really wants to bless him , sai will be wearing same color dress in Shirdi Saibaba live darshan of Samadhi mandhir also . This morning i got a dream like this..

I see Nagasai ( saibaba who appeared as Serpant on jan 7th 1943 ) portrait infront of me . Its a portrait of snake with flowers around him as he is Saibaba. I am sitting in a mat about 10 feets away . I say to saibaba in dream..

“Saibaba, if you really love me and if you are going to make my life peaceful and happy soon, then do this miracle…Let this Mat move towards your photo on its own…meaning bring me close to you”

While telling this to sai, i also remember in mind ‘sai do this leela and show me, i wont say anyone”

As soon as i said this, i feel myself moving infront towards the Nagasai portrait. It was as if the mat is sliding towards Nagasai….So beautiful so sacred…I could clearly see me close to the Saibaba’s Nagasai portrait …

Friends the dream was so vivid..

Since it was thursday my father played Shirdi Saibaba Aarti in C.d Players and i was sleeping. Probably i was in half sleep and half wake state. So there was a second dream like this…

In the dream i see me and my sai friends kanna and vengadesh going inside a beautiful temple..inside the temple i see many musicians with mrudangam, gadang, tabela and harmoniam…they also had sitar and veena…I see goddess Mahalakshmi sannidhi also..

I realized one this surprisingly…what ever way i heared the beats and harmoniam etc which my father played in C.D , in the dream i can clealy see the musicians playing and hitting the mrudangam exactly as if they are playing it in reality thouse my father is listening to aarti in C.D

I woke up, realized some message in this..

For years i dint uploaded Shirdi Saibaba aarti and bhajans in starsai because i felt if someone says its copyrighted then being a ordinary person i only have to delete them. Today i realized Saibaba wants me to upload some of Shirdi Saibaba aarti and bhajans and request each and every sai devotee to Listen to Saibabas aarti regularly in their house.

What i understood from vidid dream :

If i saw musicians playing musical instruments when my father played aarti c.d, it means Saibaba also accepts it as equal to singing aarti even when you listen to it with devotion.

I kindly request you to download all the 4 aarti of Shirdi Saibaba and learn the meaning , listen to them either in your computer, record it in C.D and play them or you can also upload in your mobile and listen to them.
